    • The cover's movie poster "Jimbo 7" was directed by Reginald Hudlin from a screenplay by Sam Hamm.
    • The movie character Jimbo was a parody of Rambo.
    • On page 10 panels 4-6 a humorous homage to the pre-Crisis Green Arrow when stunt coordinator Terry Marsh tells Oliver Queen "...Jimbo the half-Apache Buddhist pacifist who uses a bow to blow people up with trick arrows." Oliver responded with "Trick arrows?" and "Never work."
