    I Love Greek Street!!

Yes, Peter Milligan has begun the construction of a masterpiece, now I realize it is still in it's very early stages and at this point you can't truly review the series as a whole (assuming it's an ongoing - which is what I'm hoping) but you can still review what you have read and do your best to let others know what it's all about. So, if you haven't read the premiere issue of the series, I implore you to give it a try immediately. Besides the beautiful art and cover, it's an example of one person's very intriguing take on some Greek myths in a modern day setting. I for one have always loved Greek mythology, so I know a decent amount of myths and can always appreciate another take on them (since most of them have multiple versions already).

Now, with a first issue as fantastic as the one heralding this series, it's a given that the second issue will be a disappointment of sorts, but to be honest I usually expect a second issue to be worse then the first, if it wasn't then the first issue probably wasn't the great hook it should have been. So for that reason even though this issue was not as great as I had hoped I will still continue to read on. Had my expectations not been so high I'm sure I would have much more love for this second issue.

As for the content itself, I felt it had slowed down a bit too much, it ended some cliffhangers a bit too early for my liking and supplied us with less intriguing ones. The thing with Eddie in this issue was a disappointment, it's as if the first issue's story may as well have not happened. And the Fureys didn't seem as "wicked" as I was expecting or the undead thing as "horrific". But all that aside, I am still in this for the long haul and expect the series to get better, for now I'll just think of this issue as a breather, since some people found the first issue to be distasteful (read a Greek myth and then see how much cleaner this is) I am afraid many people don't plan on following the series which is a pity, it really is an interesting read.
