"Red Sky At Night, Mass Murderer's Delight"

Like how the series began this series ends in a lot of blood.  Greek Tragedies tend to have a lot of blood so it is fitting.  The supernatural aspects set up in issue #15 ties in nicely to give closer to this series.  Because of the cancellation at 16 it felt that this end was not rushed, but not as long as it could be and that the Ajax story was added in so they can compile the final trade into a minimum 5 issues.  Ajax felt like it was tossed in the middle so it would be like the three last issues of Brian Azzarello's Loveless.

I am sad that Peter Milligan is treated this way. Because Greek Street is as layered as it is, it needed more then a year to establish itself and I don't think this series was given a fair chance.  Peter Milligan has reimaged Tank Girl for Vertigo and that was Greek Story inspired as well.  Greek Street has now joined Minx and Human Target as the canceled early series of Peter Milligan in Vertigo.

I would not tell someone to not read Greek Street, I did enjoy this series.  It may not be Peter Milligan's strongest, but it definitely had its moments.  Check out the first trade and really try to chew on it, if it is not your cup of tea then the series is to layered and I can understand some seeing it as a "Chore" then a "Read".

To the next time Pete reimages Greek stories!
    Cheers!
