The Great Society

In the year 2010, a massive Kree/Skrull invasion force descended upon the Earth in a bid to conquer it, Earth's Mightiest Heroes: The Archetypes of J.U.S.T.I.C.E. rose up against the alien conquerors but died during a harrowing conflict in New York City. But during the conflict six heroes of The Anti-Heroic Age known collectively as The Society rose against the combined forces of the Kree and Skrull Empires and eradicated them.

Together Sun God, Boundless, Doctor Spectrum, The Jovian, The Norn and The Rider brought peace to the world but unfortunately it did not last long. The fall of the evil A.I. Ultron on Earth-616 shattered the Multiverse allowing Incursions of both the Red and Blue variety to occur more often and where the utopic Earth-4290001 was concerned that meant that The Great Society would now have to work harder than ever to protect their world.

In the years that followed The Great Society defended their Earth from The Ivory Kings, Mapmakers and Black Priests but the cost of saving their Earth from its counterparts was high. To destroy some of these Earths, particularly the Dead Earths controlled by The Mapmakers, the hero calling himself The Norn would have to sacrifice two potential future lives he could have lived had they not come with their Sidera Maris to devour the world of his birth.

In the year 2014, things got worse for Earth-4290001 when two Incursions happened on the same day the first being a Blue Incursion that spent much of the Great Society's strength and the second being an invasion from Earth-616 which has sparked a war for survival between the inhabitants of both realities.
