Image Comics truly is the well of unique and innovate storytelling in the comic industry. It's chock full of very inventive series', and it's rarely a risk to jump onto a new Image title, hardly any Image comic on my pull list ever scores below a 4/5 at worst, if any. Great Pacific is a perfect example of the fresh ideas coming from arguably the biggest independent publisher around.Let me get this out of the way first, I don't feel as though the art was as strong as it was the first issue. It is likely that I am projecting too much on this series, as I was actually pretty interested in it based on its concept alone. I am pretty keen on environmental issues and thus obviously pretty keen on a series where the main character seemed interested in the Pacific Trash Vortex. As of this second issue though I find myself kind of torn in terms of where I think this series might be headed.
