Great Lakes Initiative

The Great Lakes Avengers has also been known as the Lightning Rods, Great Lakes X-Men, Great Lakes Defenders and the Great Lakes Champions since no one else was using that name at the time. At one point, former Avenger Living Lightning attempted to join, believing the GLA to be the Gay/Lesbian Alliance. When they notified him that they were not, he promptly left.

They are now part of the The Initiative as the Great Lakes Initiative, the official super-team of Wisconsin. Deadpool was recently made into a honorary member.
