About Granny Hina

Hinata Urashima is the owner of the Hinata House girl's dorm(formerly the Hinata Inn). Shortly before Love Hina starts she leaves to go on world tour, and when Keitaro arrives he finds that she has left care of he dorm to him.

Other than a chibi version, she doesn't actually appear in the manga until the final volume. She calls Keitaro and attempts to give Keitaro information about his promise girl. She later haunts Keitaro and Naru as a disembodied voice until finally appearing on Hinata House's roof. She threatens to reveal the truth about their childhood promise, and asks them if they're as unhappy as they appear. This causes Keitaro and especially Naru to realize that they really ARE happy and that they really DO love each other. Her mission accomplished, Granny Hina and her adopted granddaughter Kanako fly off in a helicopter, but not before telling the young couple that they WERE destined to be together and leaving Hinata House to Keitaro.
