The Calm
Yes i'm back and yes I skipped over another issue ( which in hindsight really wasn't all that anyway just another setup for this issue), and yes I have to eat crow for my scathing review where the writer had told me himself it was the end but as I've learned in this quaint little life...Crow isn't that bad hell crow makes you stronger. So, yes those who have stayed in the long run this is the actual final issue and although it was still pretty awful I wouldn't have it end any other way.
Plot
Last issue (Ivy took pity on Harley as they went to go "kill" Catwoman thanks to some help by Penguin) and now they finally get to the stand off and finally the truth comes out about the whole Sirens trifecta while Bruce looks down on Dick's handy work.
My Opinion
The Issue was exciting I really wanted to see how it would end but thats how people are with any ending that's why the last Harry Potter is being raved by fans as such a great great thing and why many internet meme and tumblr gifs are filled with esoteric Harry Potter stuff. So thats why I gave it a high grade or maybe it's my overall opitimistic nature. So we open up with Selina narrating on her views on the end. Finally we get the girls standing off with some sassy insults and the girls face off the fight was really great and the swift sucker punch by Harley really was the only thing she did ending it and the truth comes out the sad, ugly, contrived, truth. The truth was that Batman, who at the time was Dick Grayson had set the Boneblaster on Catwoman to get the attention of the other girls to keep them out of trouble.
Really, all this was just to keep the two well off non-threatening (for the time being) villians out of trouble while it's still just a big Frick you to fans. So basically this whole serious was just forced friendships for the sake of explaining why they don't want to use them in other Batman storylines. I call shenanigans no matter how much it would see plausible I saw sparks of companionship in these girls and having Selina end up still being the bitch after all the things she did for these girls leaves a bitter taste in my mouth a taste that probably won't go away with the girls just leaving on their own terms. No I'm going to need another piece of restitution something that will give these women a better future for story writers instead of this deus ex machina eye rape that fell before me. Yet, with the DC reboot around the corner that won't be happening anytime soon unless Birds of Prey and the Suicide Squad doesn't work out and the characters are left in the bargain bin and Catwoman ends up battered again after the first Batman event. So until than keep listening for Sirens...(Awful I know)
