Dragonball Z

Gohan was born in May of 757 A.D., about a year after Goku and Chi Chi marry.Gohan unlike Goku was raised as a student of education instead of fighting. However he had to start fighting at a young age due to the sayian invasion of earth, first by raditz. Who announced two even stronger sayians would be coming to earth, later to be found out were Vegeta and Nappa. He has a hidden power within him that has been shown on many occasions, including against Raditz, Frieza, and Cell. He was the first sayian to acheive the level of ascended sayian, also known as super saiyan 2, at age 11. After defeating Cell, he was next seen years later at the age of 18 attending high school, where he adopted the identity of the great saiyaman. He once again attempted to save the world when Majin Buu was ressurected by the evil wizard babidi. After training the Old Kai, he was brought back to earth and had nearly defeated buu, until buu blew himself up to trick them into abosrbing gotenks. Gohan was eventually absorbed himself, and died when kid buu blew up the earth, but was later revived by the dragonballs.

Powers
Like most characters in the Dragonball universe, he can fly and fire energy blasts, his main attacks are the kamehameha and the masenko. He can also transform into a super saiyan which increases his power exponentially. Toward the end of the series after training with the old kai, he gains the ability to transform into what is known as mystic gohan, also known as ultimate gohan, which gives him greater power than his previous super saiyan forms.
