Godzilla
Go see Godzilla! It's a great film that, I think, everyone will enjoy. It's more then just a monster movie. There's a great story that beautifully hovers around the main man. Personally I think Bryan Cranstons part was to short, but he and Ken Watanabe really set the stage for everything you need to know. It's almost like they narrate the things you don't see so effortlessly without trying. What makes this remake so much better is that unlike the last attempt, which went horribly wrong by making Godzilla the villain, they stuck to the original story. Yes, they updated it and gave it their own spin, but they stayed true to what made this franchise so great. You found yourself rooting for Godzilla from the very start. Godzilla is an alpha predator who kinda keeps things in check when it comes to monsters his size. They even took him back to how he originally looked. And the first time I heard that roar and got my first view of him, it instantly transported me back to a time in my childhood, sitting on the couch and watching old Godzilla movies with my father. The story keeps you clutching on till the very end keeping your eyes, mind, and focus right on the screen. At no time was their a point where you thought that it might be dragging along or you might want to hit the imaginary fast forward button. You were in it for the whole run. And when the big man fought, you were rooting for him. When you thought all was lost for Godzilla in his struggle to take down the vile monsters and restore order to nature, he came through and showed you why he's the KING OF MONSTERS!!!!! They really did good on this one. I have to say I'm impressed by what I saw on the screen. I hope they make a sequel. What am I saying, of course they will. This will, guaranteed, make alot of money at the box office and sell tons of merchandise. So naturally Hollywood will keep fattening their pockets by pushing out more and more movies till the well runs dry. But I hope they continue on the course they're on writing and directing wise. Godzilla showed everyone that something that's been around since 1954, can still hold up to any of today's super films.
