    Godzilla 1

Go see Godzilla! It's a great film that, I think, everyone will enjoy. It's more then just a monster movie. There's a great story that beautifully hovers around the main man. Personally I think Bryan Cranstons part was to short, but he and Ken Watanabe really set the stage for everything you need to know. It's almost like they narrate the things you don't see so effortlessly without trying. What makes this remake so much better is that unlike the last attempt, which went horribly wrong by making...

    Great Ride 0

The entire lead up to this film (teasers, trailers, snap shots, etc.) left me with high expectations. Let me state that I have never been a big (or even small) Godzilla fan. I may have found him "cool", but never really got into him (though I have seen some of the older movies). As the release date neared I was concerned about some of the reviews I had heard/read. I must say, the number one complaint, that Godzilla is barely in it, is somewhat legitimate. I definitely would have loved to see him...

    Great film 0

Overall a great film despite 3 minor flaws ((More Cranston needed, a bit more human drama/focus, and the ending was a little bit cheesy.)) Had awesome action ((Atomic fire FTW)) and the human drama ((Especially with Cranston)) that was done was done very well. 9/10...

    A Monster? No...a God. 3

I'm not going out of my way to avoid spoilers, so read at your discretion. Summer is definitely here, because we're getting a blockbuster every week now. I love this time of year!I know a lot of us were excited for this film as well, since Godzilla is a pretty huge (neener) franchise and the last "Godzilla" gave everyone a huge bad taste in their mouth. Legendary had its work cut out for them to erase that and they accomplished it for sure. Wasn't a real surprise given how they handled Pacific R...

The King Shows He Still Reigns Supreme 17

This is easily going to be my favorite movie of the summer. I can tell already. Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, Million Ways to Die in the West...no. Godzilla. Now why would I give it 4/5 instead of 5/5 (which I gave Winter Soldier) if I liked it more? Well, I'm trying to give an honest review and rate it how I think a non-Godzilla fan would appreciate it. Personally, my own rating, it was amazing and I'd give it 5/5. However, I'm trying to remain impartial.Yes, I am a Godzilla ...

    Another bad Hollywood Godzilla 0

when did Godzilla become about a family disaster ? For a movie titled Godzilla he should have been in it more. All the actors looked traped in the movie, Juliette Binoche was wasted as was Ken Watanabe ... after the long wait since the 1998 mess it didnt get much better. ...

    Godzilla Review 0

The fiance and I tend to be "wait until we can rent it" people when it comes to seeing new movies. I mean, really, who likes leaving the house? We really only make the exception when it comes to summer blockbusters. Sure, we have a nice big TV at home, but we don't have an awesome sound system to go along with it, and there isn't much that can compare to seeing Godzilla tear through San Francisco on a big screen with some powerful surround sound to back it up. Unfortunately we only have one the...

    It's a movie w/ Godzilla's name on it! 0

To summarize this review, it is a movie with Godzilla's name on it. SPOILER: More destruction than Godzilla. After the most recent, American, incarnation of the King Of All Monsters (remember how everyone knew how much it sucked, yeah I'm talking to you Godzilla 1998) Godzilla has made a monster sized return to America, and it is all we could EVER hope for! The story of this movie is this, monsters from the past have awakened and are looking to repopulate their species. Godzilla being self-procl...

    More Wrackage than Wrath 0

I loved almost everything about this movie except three things: 1. There is more footage of the other monsters than there is of Godzilla, and even his shots are obscured my smoke, darkness, or the camera angle. It got very old very quickly. If you're going to make a monster movie about the title character, than do it to it! 2. Ken Watanabe had such a horrible and pitiful role. He mostly stared off dramatically into the distance and gave maybe two good one-liners. The man was honestly worth the m...
