I think it was Destroyah.
Godzilla
Character » Godzilla appears in 422 issues.
The king of the monsters. He is mankind's greatest ally and enemy. Quite possibly the most unpredictable force on the face of the planet.
Godzilla's deadliest enemy?
"I think it was Destroyah. "
Agreed, Destroyah was to Godzilla what Doomsday was to Superman.
How interesting that both died in the same decade...
Space Godzilla or King Ghidora (mainly because of Kaizer Ghidora realy, Destroya was more impressive before Kaizer) Mecha Godzilla was like G-man's Black Adam (i'de say darkseid but the power gab between Darkseid and superman is too big to compare the gap between G and mecha G)
Probably the giant mutated plant the Biollante. Godzilla got beat the hell up by the plant. But Godzilla most of the time has kicked the crap out of anything in his path. There's others like Mechagodzilla 3, Destoroyah, Space Godzilla, Orga. Godzilla in final wars was a beast he beat up every monster even the wannabe American Godzilla.
The power of love, homemade Godzilla sized chocolate chip banana bread, and homemade Godzilla sized chocolate chip banana bread with love baked into it.
These things are like Kryptonite to Godzilla's big monster heart and he becomes weak and pur's like a kitten when they're used on him.
That and the music of Devo. Everyone has their vices.
I'd have to say Destroyah, not just because I think he's the most powerful monster in the Godzilla series (aside from Meltdown and Kaiser Godzilla and not counting Rebirth of Mothra monsters), but also because he's one of the only ones capable of actually killing Godzilla, since he appears to be able to stop him from regenerating by injecting micro-oxygen into his bloodstream in his aggregate form (when he does this to Godzilla Junior, the hole in his chest is still unhealed hours later, and he actually dies from being dropped from a great height and blasted by an Oxygen Destroyer ray, something he should have been able to recover from).
On a somewhat related side note, why do so many people seem to think that Spacegodzilla is Godzilla's most powerful enemy? I mean, sure, anything that's a more powerful clone of Godzilla is obviously pretty damn powerful, but there are several others that are much more impressive than him... really, all he has are a relatively powerful energy beam, energy shields, and telekinesis... he's not THAT powerful.
King Ghidorah
1.) Destroyah - Basically took Godzilla to his brink which accelerated his heart condition to meltdown, causing his death
2.) King Ghidorah - His oldest rival of all, Whom in the Showa days Godzilla needed help to defeat & in the Heisei series could've killed Godzilla had the Futurians not lost control of Ghidorah so he has came close to killing him quite a few times.
3.) MechaGodzilla - In all incarnations would have killed Godzilla had it not been from interference or PIS.
These are his top 3 most deadliest enemies he's ever faced.
