Godzilla
Godzilla is a comic book character that first appeared in Godzilla King of the Monsters #1Godzilla is the king of the monsters. What more is there to say?
Description
Enveloped in the heart of many nuclear blasts, a strange dinosaur was set free from the ocean and transformed into Godzilla-- King of the Monsters! Godzilla stands at 100 meters in height, and weighs 66,000 tons. Godzilla has charcoal gray or green scales and has three columns of spines.
Powers and Abilities
His trademark attack is his "Atomic Breath," which is capable of devastating roughly one quarter of Tokyo in a single blast. A not so well known ability is to project a field of nuclear energy from his body. Godzilla's body not only generates radiation, but it absorbs radiation as well. Increased amounts of radiation are capable of boosting Godzilla's already overwhelming power.Once,Godzilla even turned magnetic and pulled Mecha-Godzilla back and then twisted his head off! When Charged with extra radiation Godzilla's ray will become red and have a spiral around it, this spiral ray is around 700 times more powerful than the normal ray. Godzilla has regeneration that has no equal in speed or efficiency. Godzilla is immune to any and all conventional weaponry due to his thick and durable hide. When overloaded with radiation all of Godzilla's abilities increase one hundred-fold however when his temperature reaches 1200 degrees Celsius, he will meltdown, causing everything in a 10 light years radius to suffer from extreme radiation and heat and incinerating the planet he is on. The effects can be lessened by freezing him but they will still turn a country the size of Japan forever lifeless unless another Godzilla absorbs it. Godzilla also can gain a power out of nowhere if the situation calls for it for example when he fought Mecha-Godzilla he became the world's most powerful magnet to defeat the metallic monster. He can also can defy the laws of physics by sliding on his tail without gaining the slightest bit of momentum. He has enough strength to send the 35,000 ton Kumonga sailing out of the solar system with ease. When hit with electricity Godzilla becomes stronger. There is no limit to how much stronger he can get through this, he has often used this to his advantage in fights, especially since most of his foes have no idea that this power exists. Godzilla's spines can absorb and channel any energy without harm and it transfers it directly to him in the former case.
Friends and Foes
Godzilla's foes Include his arch-nemesis, the king of terror, King Ghidorah; Mechagodzilla ; a drastically upscaled and powered version of King Kong, the gallant Mothra; the alien fiend, Gigan; the cosmic titan Space Godzilla; his American doppelganger Zilla; the mighty The Avengers; the horror of the void, Oruga/Orga; the mammoth Titanosaurus; the dastardly Kumonga; the rabid Kamakuras; the monstrous Baragon; the dark guardian Battra; the terror of the Precambrian, Destroyah; and the most powerful of them all, the horrific cosmic leviathan Monster-X who has the ability to turn into the kaiser of all fear and the harbinger of death, Kaiser Ghidorah. His Allies are, his sons Minilla and Godzilla Junior; the sacred guardian Mothra; the sky lord Rodan, his famous sidekick the brave Anguirus, King Ceaser, and the greatest hero of them all, Jet Jaguar!
Marvel
Godzilla had his own comic book series in the 1970's. Godzilla battled many superhero teams like The Champions( Hercules, Black Widow, Ice Man, and Angel), The Fantastic Four, and The Avengers (Thor, The Vision, Iron Man, Yellow Jacket, and Wasp). When he fought the Avengers, he flicked Thor away like a mere insect, exhibiting an amazing degree of invulnerability. Godzilla teamed up with Devil Dinosaur, Moon Boy, and Red Ronin. Godzilla's main enemy was Doctor Demonicus.
Attacks
Though, he tends to only attack if attacked first, (excluding the film GMK in which he is destroying the country unprovoked) Godzilla has attacked Tokyo, Osaka, Sydney, New Guinea, Tokai, New York City, Moscow, Paris, London, San Fransisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and many other cities. However, when he attacked Tokai and Osaka, it was often for a powerplant to "feed" his body's radioactive energy generator.
Movies
Godzilla has appeared in over 28 "Toho" movies since 1954. In the films, Godzilla usually fights other monsters such as Rodan, Mothra, and even King Kong. There was even an American Godzilla movie, which the fans despised. Capitalizing off the success of these movies, Godzilla was given a series of comics through Marvel. His major must see movies are Gojira,Godzilla 2000,Final Wars,Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla, All Monsters Attack and Godzilla vs Megalon.
