    Godzilla #4

    THE GOOD:
Simon Gane does an awesome job on art duties. His style is very messy and it turns out great and even gives this book a tone that is right for a giant monster comic. The rubble and destruction, looks amazing, as well as the cities that he draws. The monsters also look very good. The story is getting further and further to a huge climax. Seeing Titanosaurus fighting Rodan was and interesting match-up because it has never been done. The final result was mostly satisfying. We also get to see Boxer continue leading his team of Monster Killers into trouble and dealing with it in clever and surprising ways. Duane Swierczynski's character moments are priceless and they really help build up the characters we are suppose to care for. Seeing Monster Island was interesting and I can't wait to see where this series goes to next.

    THE BAD:
There are some panels where the art looks a little off. It doesn't take away too much from the story but it is noticeable. Titonosaurus and Rodan's fight was really, really short. They have to continue the story so it's understandable, but it was the first time the monsters even were together and it was very short.

    THE VERDICT: 4/5 (Great)
Godzilla is a great series and it's even better when compared to Godzilla: Kingdom of Monsters. If you aren't buying this, I highly recommend that you start. The story is well crafted with interesting characters and giant monsters. You really can't go wrong with a combination like that. I highly recommend this is you are a fan of Godzilla films of Kaiju films in general. If you also like a good comic, this is also something that you will want to check out.
