Review: Godzilla #2
THE GOOD:
The art is fantastic in this issue. Simon Gane has a very unique style and there are few other artist that I would want on this book. I really like the amount of detail he adds in all the panels. It feels very real also. I also really like the way his characters can show facial expressions. The story is amazing. Like Godzilla: Kingdom of Monsters; this writer is showing how the modern world would react to these situations and he pulls it off 10 times better. I also think that Duane has pulled off something that I though was impossible; monster and human fighting. He does it so well that you feel just as satisfied with this as monster vs. monster. I also really like the characterization of all the characters. I think there is a lot of different personalities and it's cool to see that.
THE BAD:
I didn't have a problem with anything.
THE VERDICT: 5/5 (Perfect)
I love Godzilla, and this is what I always wanted from a Godzilla comic. Godzilla: Kingdom of Monsters was okay, but this is a much better take on the whole thing. I think that this is going to be an interesting story. I know that it is only going to last for 12 issues, but I hope the writer sticks around because he has made a Godzilla comic what is should be. I highly recommend this to people who like Godzilla and want something different.
