I Want to Go to This School!

The Good: The artwork is a fantastic level of cartoony that suits the story but never makes it feel too kiddish. Plus the action is really neat and I LOVE the way speed is portrayed.

We're introduced to A LOT of characters and plotlines for one issue, but it really works and makes it feel like this comic truly is about the school itself rather than one central character.
Not only are we introduced to a lot of characters and storyline,s but they're all REALLY interesting, and transitioning between them flows incredibly smoothly.
The character designs, even for all the background characters, are just so cool and fun. Props especially go out to Kid Nefarious' scarf with it's K and N on the tips.
Everything is played for laughs in here. The origin of the school has one moment that just had me cracking the biggest smile because of the strangeness and strange 'cuteness' of the event.

The Bad: I wasn't a big fan of the framing device at the start. I mean, I liked getting all the history, but I didn't like the narrator acknowledging that this was a comic book, and that he was telling some of his favorite stories about this school.
It bothered me in T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents, and again here. There's just ONE character on the cover who doesn't actually show up in the issue, and it really annoys me.
There's a huge plot twist at the end of the issue, and it seems WAY too soon. Although it's only the first issue, so I have no idea what direction this comic intends to take.

    In Conclusion: 4.5/5
The cover for this caught my eye in Previews, and I knew I had to check this out as soon as it was released. 2 months later (or was it 3?) I was not disappointed in the least. This is a fun, interesting, and different new comic series that I would recommend to most comic fans. I'm on board after one issue.

Everybody Wants to Rule The Word 0

I must say that with so many comic's that are produced currently that are flat and unimaginative,  Gladestone's School For World Conquerors is an interesting and fun read. The cover while not spectacular does catch your eye with characters that echo some familiar heroes, at least I they did for me. The introduction was well done I thought giving the premise of the title and the back story behind the school. The tale of the Ashu Gladstone was funny and entertaining ending with the buffoon beco...
