Gladiator should get his own series.

He is a good character that isn't used as often as he should.

AGREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would have to disagree, he isn't that interesting of a character to warrant his own title. An Shiar Imperial Guard comic would be cool, I am not really sure who they would fight, but at least you would have more going on then just Gladiator.

Marvel has alot of Supermen. Gladiator is the lamest one.

What I was going to say.

The character has nowhere near the fanbase to support a solo title, I would be surprised if he could get a 4 issue mini series and not get cancelled midway

He is lame and his design is,too.

#12 Posted by Enosisik (1153 posts) - - Show Bio

He's only lame cuz he's never had a chance to build a story. How much do we really know about him other than him being a superman clone ?

well we got to know alittle of his past during war of kings but thats it as he has lived a long time yet we know nothing of what hes done who he has fought & even the rumored Herald of galactus bit yet his fans will never get any comic time to show this & as a user above stated maybe a mini i agree as Ares has got some minis & one shot issues Gladiator deserves the same as Gladiator is probably more known than Ares to but marvel really doesn't care unless your a main A grade character .

THIS! He deserves at least a mini series which could lead to an ongoing or an Imperial Guard series.

I agree.

Gladiator should get his own series (at least his own mini). I'd read it.

As opposed to a solo series, I'd prefer that they continued the Annihilators series. I loved the idea of a powerhouse team that didn't hold back. I prefer reading about street level characters but it has always bothered me when a powerhouse hit someone on Earth that a Cap or Bats punch out and their head didn't explode. It is refreshing to watch them perform at max capacity and handle issues that only they can handle.

@cap10nate: I always referred to this as Marvel Earth-itis. It is the disease of massively powered characters who suddenly start under performing once they reach Earth. Gladiator is a perfect example of this. In space he is a physical force that few can rival. But on Earth his levels of power are always scaled down to such a mediocre display that comic fans begin to see the character for what he is not:: a weak carbon copy of Superman. I could not disagree with this more, but that debate is better left for another thread.

Like the Silver Surfer being put in a arm lock, or having his powers easily "stolen" by some piece of technology, or like Firelord being defeated by Spiderman or Nova having to rely on the other New Warriors for.....anything, Gladiator suffers from the same plight, writers using cosmic characters who bear the recognition as a powerful force to be used as a doormat/punching bag for the purpose of creating or boosting interest in whomever the opposing character or team happens to be. A real shame.
