An oddity for British comics, The Giant Holiday Fun Comic Album (and its sister volumes, The Giant Holiday Adventure Comic Album, Giant Holiday All-Girl Comic Album and Giant Holiday Fantasy Comic Album) collected an unusual range of old IPC-owned comic strips from several different defunct titles and reprinted them together to form a massive 288 page cheaply-priced black and white volume not dissimilar to the later Marvel Essentials line. It was edited and compiled by Mike Higgs, and published by Hawk Books.
This volume, as the name suggests, concentrated mainly on strips with a humorous element to them, including Laurel & Hardy, Billy Bunter, the Cloak, Ken Reid's Queen of the Seas, Steadfast McStaunch and Albert Hall the Office Boy.
