MTV released a sneak preview of what we can expect in the upcoming, highly anticipated G.I. Joe action film. Take a look at these two minutes of awesome action set in Paris! What do you think? Are you excited about the film? Who are you most looking forward to seeing on the big screen?

I was skeptical about this movie because it was G.I. Joe, which I was never a fan of, but that actually looked pretty freaking cool.

I'm willing to try to give it a try. I'm going to throw out all expectations that it's going to be a true G.I. Joe movie.  Maybe from an alternate universe/entertaining perspective, it might be okay.

ok this is the major issue with this movie....

NO doubt its has got some very nice looking action and stars for the cast BUT the way this movie will suceed or fail is only one thing............will it capture that GI JOE feeling that we all know and love. Thats the problem this move right now looks like a good big summer action move BUT IS IT A YO JOE!!!! movie i dont know? from what I have seen i dont get any real payoff as a JOE fan some of the characters look like they should but other dont at all. I dont see DUKE I dont see HAWK they just look like military guys in fact they all do.

added the fact that they all are wearing BLACK and those HALO suits and HOW I AM TO TELL WHOS WHOS IN THOSE THINGS???? How do we relate to the characters if they dont look the part?

And it may just be me but as a kid growing up I thought the whole point of GI JOE was that COBRA had all the tech and cool stuff (halo suits) and the Joes were just that General Issues!!! and they were gonna win the day EVERYDAY just based on being the REAL AMERICAN HEROES they are.



I guess I am gonna watch this movie and i have no idea what to expect maybe there are gonna be some cool Joe moments here

I'll see it... I'll see any film ni the theater... I just think it's going to be the biggest let down of all time to fans...
Every film for me, when based on a franchise, is an alternate universe for me...I just think it looks like an overall awful film.

Looks cool to me! Looks like it will leave you feeling like jumping off 40 story buildings in "HALO suits," as Speedigt referred to them. :)

lol of course not, I meant it more in the sense of that i don't expect it to be an accurate display of GI Joe and his crew but just another popcorn movie =)

Yeah I completely agree! But it should be fun for the lovely scenic Parisian back drop as well as some really cool explosions; and who doesn't love that!?

Because the majority of film goers would fail to identify that all of these landmarks that you mentioned above, are in France.

I think someone at the costume shop was handed a set of the Battleforce 2000 toys for design work.  The BF2000 team were designed back in the early 90s when the year 2000 was supposed to be far, far away.

Ironically, the entire BF2000 team was killed in the comics, with the exception of Dodger.

My opinion may not matter to you Joe fans but I think it's looks okay maybe a pinch of cheesiness at parts but i still might see it in theaters...

2. Storm Shadow is wearing a bad ass suit
3. Dukes power dive was beautiful

It looks goood,
Although the big, robocop costumes look stupid.

I love Sienna Miller! she looks and sounds great.
And not that I don't j'adore Channing Tatums body....but does he have to get his kit off in every movie that he's in?

@G-Man:
The part of this that just turns me off of the whole film is the "accelerator suits". So basically they just become low-rent Spider-Men, rather than being the military specialists that they were in the toy line & comics. There's really no need for them to use the name G.I. Joe at all, except to leech onto our fond childhood memories for a quick buck.

Whats with the nuts in those suits?  Other then you can definitely tell the black haired lady is the Baroness, I don't even really see GI Joe in the movie.  I'm not sure, this is going to get my $5 bucks when it comes out.  Of course, with the selection of movies coming out through June and July it might as there is nothing worth seeing this summer.  ~sigh~

am i the only person that thinks this looks like a really high budget dollar store action movie? theyre turning something that was made for 10yr olds into a movie. im sure all the die hard gi joe fans will have fun with this, but i think for the rest of us it might be a little corny. ok, or REALLY corny

I'll see this I am not a big GI Joe fan but this looks like it might be good. I am worried about the robotic suites though. They could either come off as really cool or really stupid.
