Hell-Bent & Heaven-Bound-Part 2
Ghost Rider covers often rely upon Johnny spinning fiery wheelies on his bike or on big close ups of a fiery skull (Mark Texeira's 1991 cover for Ghost Rider 15 being probably the most acclaimed version of this). It's always nice to see something a bit different. And this is different. Ghost Rider is being ruthlessly attacked not by some hound of hell or demonic force. Oh, no. He's being assaulted by three , er, nurses. That's right. Nurses. This being a comic book, they're very attractive nurses. I'm not sure what influenced Jason Aaron or the artist, Marko Djurdjevic. Perhaps it was the X Files episode where Scully goes all ninja against a group of ludicrously good looking nurses - anyone else remember that? Nevertheless it's the incongruence of the imagery here that places it high on my list. Good job, boys.
