Geoff is an exclusive writer for DC Comics. He is currently working on JSA, Green Lantern, Booster Gold, Action Comics, Superman, and Supergirl. He is also working on Final Crisis Minis.
Geoff Johns was once an assistant to Richard Donner, the director of the movie, Superman. Soon, he would make his mark among the DC Universe when he was tapped to co-write the title JSA. When David S. Goyer left the title, Geoff took over the title alone and brought it to great prominence. When DC decided to use the critically acclaimed "Identity Crisis" as a springboard for a universe spanning Infinite Crisis, Geoff was given a major role in helping to define what the story would be. Even to this day, the effects of Geoff's work, along with the other creators, in coming up with Infinite Crisis are still being felt in the DC Universe.
Geoff first got his start in comics by writing the title Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E where he created the character Courtney Whitmore, who is currently called Stargirl. Courtney was based off of his own sister Courtney who wis killed in an airplane explosion in 1996. Along with his work on Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E and JSA, Geoff has also written such titles like Day of Judgment, a significant run on FLash, and several issues of Superman, Action Comics and JLA. He also wrote the mini-series Infinite Crisis.
For Marvel, he had a stint on Avengers.
