I am a fan of Generation Hope, it might not be the best but it was a fun book for team Cyclops. Anyway a few weeks ago I was told that issue 17 was going to be the final issue. Having read it, it really didn't seem like a final issue it seemed more like it was pausing for AvX and would pick up after that or at another point in the future. Does anyone know if the book was canceled or on hiatus?

The book ended with issue 17. It was cancelled, friend.

@pspin: I'm sorry friend. I read it and I saw that it was a perfect reflection on how some fans hated Hope and how she kinda does an apology not just towards her team, but also to the fans.

I hope they bring the series back sometime.

@pspin: I'm guessing after AvX, it really won't matter. Frankly I say take the lights, minus Shaw, and the remain Young X-Men and remake Generation X so it gives Emma a reason to be the teacher she so loves and all the children get screen time.

@TheGreyOutcastX: Interesting, the two "generations" would definitely have some drama. I think that the Hope-Surge dynamic might get a little bitchy though, but if it had the proper writer I would get on board.

@pspin: Oh please, the Emma-Hope Dynamic would top that. Plus it all depends on what's Hope's fate in AvX, so she could or could not be on the team. But I say it now. Jubliee must return for this if it were to happen. Just for Nostalgia

@TheGreyOutcastX: You are right about the Emma-Hope thing but I was just thinking about how Surge hates people like X-23 just for keeping secrets and both she and Hope have the same personality type. As for Jubilee, I have no opinion, I simply don't know, maybe I am too young (?)

@pspin: Jubilee was apart of Generation X in the 90s and since Jubilee is the only one beside Emma from Gen X on Scott's side, she needs to be there to at least help christen it.

Given that Cyclops is giving Mutants good PR and the Avengers have been racked with negative press, I think the Avengers are gonna look like the bullies in this. At least in the beginning.

@TheGreyOutcastX: So you would think but all of the promos seem geared toward making the Avengers look awesome plus isn't Bendis the head writer for this, love him or hate him but he is going to lean towards the Avengers simply because he is the Avengers writer

@pspin: Bendis is but one mind in this. Fraction, Aaron, and others are involved. And Bendis is leaving the Avengers though. Plus it looks like the Avengers are invading Utopia. Utopia and San Fran are on good terms and seeing the Avengers invade Utopia will not sit well for San Fran, and perhaps the world.

@pspin: @TheGreyOutcastX: Not only is he leaving at the end of AVX but he is heading over to write for one of the X books IIRC. They said there will be consequences for the team that loses unlike events in the past. I can see him leaving damage in the wake when he leaves and letting him write a build up with the X-Men.

@Dernman: Was that confirmed that he was definitely heading over to write an X-Book? I heard the rumors, but I never heard it confirmed.

I'm just after realising now that this book was cancelled :/ Was there even an announcement, I never heard it anywhere and I follow a lot of comic book news sources on Twitter

@feargalr: Yeah I read about it in the comments here for something else it is a real pity, I liked the series
