Awesome writing is awesome yet hard to read

Yay for fantastic writing! In a new plot twist, Hope ends up proving herself to be just as unbearable as anyone her age with that much attention would be!
Apparently miss omega-level mutant host of the phoenix force doesn't like anyone else trying to teach her much of anything, or 'holding her back'. Great bit of writing; make the mutant messiah actually act like a teenager, not a typical mutant messiah. Because that's what she is, a teenager.
However, the bulk of the comic is rendered from Hope's perspective, so her blatant unreasonableness isn't quite blatant enough. It would have stood out a lot better if there was some way to contrast it with an observer's viewpoint, maybe Kitty's?
It's making for pretty grating reading material, but I really like where this series is going. Let's see how realistic Hope ends up!

Generation Hope has a much needed slow issue to present a good look at the team, but unfortunately, that look exposes some glaring weaknesses that do not bode well for this series or the current direction of the X-Men.The biggest problem is that Hope, the main character of this series and a major player in the current direction of the X-Franchise, is just an obnoxious character. Cover Image: Straight-up, I hate this cover. The style isn't appropriate for what is inside, and the image isn't congruous with the last few Coipel covers that have been genius. It just seems like it was done by someone who clearly didn't know the characters (see Teon or Idie)  The Good (or Great) I have to admit that Gillen's writing seemed flat out terrible for the beginnings of this series, which throws up some major red flags when it comes to the fact that he is taking over Uncanny X-men aft...
