Aw man, I forgot to mention when Zod used genetically modified Red Kryptonite Salt on hot dogs...

Everything You Need to Know About General Zod
@g_man: FOOL! That was EASILY his most compelling plot!!
@beomoose: Yup. #ThatsMyStoryAndImStickingToIt
Great video :) Probably show this to my friend and girlfriend before the movie. Pretty pumped for this weekend.
I don't need to know more about Zod. All one needs to know is that he is only one of two Superman villains. According to DC, Superman has no other villain and DC is never going to try and possibly conceive of making a third, cause that would make sense.
OK, before people start replying, I know that that H'el character was pretty a badass Kryptonian villain, but I'm talking about DC NEVER making any recurring villain for Supes other than Luthor and Zod, and that's what really ticks me off!

Uh,
Mongul
Mxyplyzyk
Doomsday
Bizarro
Toyman
Metallo
Darkseid
Lex Luthor
Braniac
Livewire
Lobo
Parasite
That's just some I can think off the top of my head
@trebean: Right on, brother
Plus that recently remade origin that's totally Superman: The Movie. . . . . . cheesy as the golden age if you ask me. I like Byrne's where Krypton was, you know, ADVANCED!!! Not savagely killing each other and what not, looking and acting like Earthlings thousands of years ago.
@miss_garrick: Even if you discount dudes like Toyman for not being a threat to Superman (or anyone) Braniac is one of Superman's biggest and most dangerous foes, Parasite could potentially kill him and every other person on the planet, and Metallo has always been recurring throughout like, most of Big Blue's history.
Now if you're saying there won't be any enemies for Superman besides Zod and Lex in the films, that I could buy.
@g_man: I think you forgot to mention the Superman TAS version of Zod and Ursla even though he had a different name I think it was Jax-Ur. It represented Zod's future look for future comic books in DC and I thought he had a better origin in there. I never liked Zod though, he always seem to be a boring character to me. Let's hope Man of Steel and the New 52 changes my mind! :-)
@trebean: I'd rather the movie have any of those characters than Zod, except Toyman, because he's no threat, and Doomsday & Bizarro, because I don't think they make good villains for the first film in the series. Zod annoys me. I like Superman being The Last Son of Krypton. Zod existing kinda renders that title pointless.
edit: Oh, I forgot Lex. They could leave him out as well, or give him a minor role. He has been done to much.
The movie clip looks awesome, glad I booked my ticket! I am stoked for the movie now, but most of those Zod versions are lame! Glad to know I didn't miss anything between the origin and the last pre-flashpoint update!
@saranth: That was from Action Comics Annual #10. That was before Zod and the others escaped the Phantom Zone, started New Krypton, etc. All the stuff I liked that the New 52 erased.
@g_man Yeah, it looks really interesting. I've been trying to get caught up on the Johns stuff; I picked up Braniac and Last Son, but I haven't gotten around to reading either yet. New 52 Superman, with the exception of #9 of Morrison's run and Diggle's only real issue of Action Comics, has left me feeling pretty cold. I'll look it up, cheers!
@beomoose: Yeah i think it involves removing a piece of the brain i saw it on House.
@beomoose: Yes it can. I was one of the smartest men you could ever meet, modest too. Do you remember when they said that the planet was going to explode and we were going to leave on giant space arks and live on another world. When we got there, they told us not to tell the stupider people because it might effect their.........Ooooh, I see, boy gas is sure expensive isn't it.
I guess Zod may not "technically" be dead. I mean people break their necks from time to time and live. Let us not forget our favorite Superman of all time Christopher Reeve. But he was a hero. (fictionally and in reality) ...and Zod, well not so much... so yeah I guess he is most likely dead. Again. In all realities he's probably died more time than anyone else... And came back with no long term side-effects of the deaths he's been through.
