    Gene Day was a comic book artist, who worked on fanzines and independent publications (notably Black Zeppelin, which was published posthumously). His break in main stream comics came as an artist for Master of Kung Fu and Star Wars. Although he died tragically of a coronary at age 31, he left a legacy as a promising talent and is regarded by many industry, especially Dave Sim as being an inspiration.
