Between the upcoming Uncanny X-Men and Wolverine And The X-Men, which team do you think Gambit will reside on and why??
Gambit
Character » Gambit appears in 4680 issues.
A charming master thief and skilled martial artist who became a member of the X-Men, Gambit possesses the mutant ability to change potential energy in inanimate objects into kinetic energy which causes them to explode. His signature move is throwing kinetically-charged playing cards at his opponents.
Gambit on which X-Team?
I think editorially they will put him with Wolverine, because it will possibly be the edgier team. My take is that they want to have one title with more classic X-Men stories and the other one, edgier, leaning to the 90s trend of comics.
@cattlebattle: I didn't know they had announced the teams yet, can you share the link to the source please? :D

@cattlebattle: Is Emma & Xavier's team the same as Cyclops? Forgive my ignorance.
@Hus: Gambit and Wolvie fight all the time ever since Gambit appeared, and they also act like understanding friends all the time, I guess they both have this dark nature. In the solicits for X-Men, it has Emma as the only visible character, and it mentions that they will be following xxxxxx (not a fact I believe it will be Xavier), You can find it at Marvel.com, just search for October solicits

Who will they follow — XXXXXX or Wolverine? Either way, with mutantkind cut in two, things will never be the same. Setting the stage for this month's WOLVERINE & THE X-MEN #1 and November's all-new UNCANNY X-MEN #1, Kieron Gillen (UNCANNY X-MEN, JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY) and Billy Tan (UNCANNY ...

If you'll ntoice there is the same amount of X' as letters in Xavier, and Emma is the only highlighted chracter
@cattlebattle said:I don't lol, It's just my opinion he will be on that team, One reason is in the solicit for Wolverines team, no ones sillohuette resembles GambitHe will be on Emmas/Profs teamHow do you know?
Hopefully he'll be on neither team.
Hopefully he'll do his own thing.
Hopefully he'll get his own comic.
Hopefully!
@Cattlebattle
I doubt the XXXXXX's mean it's actually someone with 6 letters in their name.
I personally think he's going to be on Wolverines side as his side seems to be about protecting the children imo, and with his recent developments in X-23 he would fit.
But i doubt he'll actually be a member on the actual team though, probably just following Rogue around in Legacy

I guess no matter the team, I just want him to have a prominent roll, and be a main character like he was in X-Men Blue, or is in X23.

Carey is a pretty good writer, he's just not the writer for Gambit. He has done a pretty good Hellblazer and all, and X-Men Legacy used to be my favorite X-book when it was about the X-Men, got sick of it when it became "Rogue Adventures," it's forced, boring, dull, and derivative.
It's meant to be that the Uncanny X-Men team will be the more 'mature, you don't have to kill & fight everything' team, while Wolverine's team will the more brash, ambitious and ready to rumble...
To me, Gambit would therefore be more suited to Wolverine's team.
Do you guys think he's going to be an active member of one of the new teams, as in one of the people in the sillhoutes or just wallpaper?
This is why I say he should be neutral because he's displayed all of those characteristics at one time or another. Either way, I'm not a fan of the creative teams behind these two books, so I probably won't be picking them up.It's meant to be that the Uncanny X-Men team will be the more 'mature, you don't have to kill & fight everything' team, while Wolverine's team will the more brash, ambitious and ready to rumble...

Supposedly, he will be.
