Well, the rumor mill continues to buzz with FF news. It now seems, according to I Watch Stuff, that Laurence Fishburne will not be voicing Galactus after all, but the Silver Surfer himself. No word yet on if this is because the actor thought he looked fat in a cloud suit (see here for the joke).

Really there's nothing more that can surprise me about this series. Oh, except for it being good.

Minor spoiler alert, but you'll likely want to read cuz it's so lame and then we can all collectively bitch together.

Aintitcoolnews.com just recieved a report that Galactus in the FF movie will not be a giant robot, but appear in the form of a cloud. Yes kiddos, that's right, the devourer of worlds is a simple space cloud. Not that any of this is surprising of course. We all remember how badly Doom was ported onto the silver screen, why should this be any different. While they're at it why don't they have the silver surfer fly through solid objects.... oh wait. Here's the rumored email to Harry:

Wanted to let you know what Galactus is going to look like / be represented as in the FF2 sequel:

A storm cloud.

Yep.

That's it. That's the solution from the creatives.

(clears throat).....pretty lame.

Think Superman/Silver Surfer flying through clouds with Galactus / Jorel VO.

Aintitcoolnews.com is reporting on a rumor that Laurence Fishburne is set to be the voice of Galacticus in the new FF movie. Quotes from Harry...

Hey folks, Harry here... This is one of those good news, bad news sort of news updates.

From the Yatterling pipeline - I've gotten a couple of updates regarding FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER. A film that I desperately hope buries the fetid pile of shit that was the last film... however, with essentially the same talent pool... I'm wary. Although every trailer so far has kicked ass.

Well... turns out that they've found a voice for Galactus... Laurence Fishburne - now it's still a rumor - but a reliable one.

Then - apparently in Seattle on the night of April 10th - Fox had a test screening of FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER and the word on the screening that has reached me is that the film was "sooo bad that they felt dirty and wanted to write letters of complaint." I encourage anyone that feels that way or that loved it to write on in. I'm willing to give Tim Story a second chance - and I'm really hoping he nails this. That said, he'll have to entertain us for a lot longer than a trailer.
