I'm glad she mentioned Catman. I don't think I've ever seen a character change so much, and yet in such a believable way. She really did an amazing job with him.

I have to say, every time I watch a Gail Simone interview, I keep thinking, "Wait, this is the lady who writes all that twisted stuff on Secret Six?"

I don't have that feeling with, say, Grant Morrison - he's pretty much the way you'd expect him to be -, but Gail's work on Secret Six in particular (more than on BoP or WW) somehow paints a different person.

Anyway, I'm a huge fan and I can't wait to find out who the White Canary is... Next issue, from what I heard?

I think it's great that they're putting Hawk & Dove in the Birds of Prey.  Nice addition to the bird theme.  I'm also a fan of the Catman revamp that Secret Six brought about - just awesome.

Yeah, you'd think the writer of Secret Six would be someone who has some serious issues. However she seems to be one of the nicest people in comics.

Gail Simone is my #1 writer!

Six is my current favorite book.  I like/d the Six so much I had to find and buy all the old Villains United which are also worth tracking down for anyone who enjoys the Six.

Thanks for another great interview Sara.

Huh, I never thought of another Birds of Prey and Secret Six Cross over. I do remember reading in vol 1 of Birds of Prey series that Huntress and Catman met along with the current Secret Six when Harley Quinn was on it. That would be awesome!

Gail Simone is an awesome writer and the current BoPs have been good so far.

Gail Simone rules. She writes relationships better than anyone. And I don't mean romantic ones, but like how the various BoPs interplay, the Catman/Deadshot friendship, the... whatever the hell it is... between Bane and Scandal. Welcome to Tranquility had a lot of chemistry between the various characters. it's not something all writers can pull off and Gail is a master at it.

Me too!  After I shot this interview, I totally geeked out and told Gail how much i loved her work.  She was really gracious. I also asked whatever happened to that Get Out Of Hell Free card the Six picked up a few arcs back, and she said she still has it in mind!  I'm hoping they bring back Knockout some day, but I have a feeling that card will be used for something more unexpected.  c'est la vie!

Funny, you Geeked out, :} with all the questions.  I bet it is a kick for Simone to meet someone who gets so excited about her work.

The "Get out of Hell free card" would have been one of my first questions also.  I'd love to see Knockout come back but whoever Simone chooses to use it on will be fun.  I have enjoyed the suspense, waiting to find out what will be done with it.  I find the whole idea intriguing.  If you could bring back one person who would it be?  That's a heck of a question for people like Scandal, Catman or any of the Six to answer.

Thanks for all of your work on these interviews.  Especially for me, with Simones.
