Almost Perfect
I am surprise this comic did not get reviewed by someone on the vine when it came out. There have been reviews posted for every issue up till this one very soon after the comic is released. This one however has not so, I get to be the first.
The reason I a surprised this book has not been reviewed yet is not just because it is a newer book but it is also by far the best one in the series. These heroes face some pretty powerful bad guys lead by King Bullet, who have horrific powers and any one of them could probably kill most of the league in a one to one battle but even as a team the Freedom fighters are overwhelmed. Firebrand is severely hurt and the rest of them are in a situation that could hurt them or possibly kill anyone of them.
The thing is there is real tension and horror because it would not be beyond the creators to kill off one of these characters. For example I know when I read a Superman comic I know he is not going to get killed. (unless DC has advertised the hell out of it.)
This book is nearly perfect except for one flaw. The Freedom Fighters are given collars that inhibits their powers, and tossed to their doom. That is what makes this issue so intense. The problem is it shouldn't effect technology so at the very least Phantom Lady should be able to use her wristbands.
I gave this book four-and-half stars. It was awesome and I cannot wait to read the next issue. I highly recommend it but, not to little kids.
