    You go to a good shop, the shop I went to only got a few of this years FCBD books, the rest of their stuff was from the previous six years of FCBD events and none of it was the good stuff plus they had no sales of any kind. All I got from them was Inspector Gadget even though I wanted Kung-Fu Panda >.< Ended up going to a friends shop farther away and got one of each offered this year for free and no purchase :P

    @pikahyper: I'm in love with my comic book shop lol. They're amazing. They don't have the hugest selection in the world, but it's more than decent. They have an amazing selection of trades as well and they give me amazing deals on them. They'll discount the in-store trades to the price that they sell them for online and if I come to them and show them the price of somebody who's selling them for less (for the same quality), they'll knock the price down. In addition to that, if you get more than (IIRC fifteen?) comics, they take ten percent off your purchase. :D

    @ImperiousRix: I'm just happy they were open this late :D I had to go after work and only had an hour. They closed at nine and I was done getting my comics at 8:56. Knowing them they'd have kept it open, though. But if I had longer..... I probably would have ended up with four times as much. :D

    @The Dark Huntress:  I'm shocked they can stay in business going like that, is there more then one shop? I don't see how they can sell at such a steep discount, if they are that small of a shop and just a single store their Diamond discount is only like 20-30% off retail and most online stores sell trades at an average of 40% all the way up to 70% off.

    @pikahyper: I honestly don't know how they do it. All I know is that I love it. I may be downplaying their selection, though. They have a pretty large one. On top of that, they also sell games and stuff, as well as manga, anime DVDs and other cartoon DVDs and movie sets. Here's their website.

    I had a very limited selection for my FCBD and nothing was on sale, but i did get interviewed so ill be on TV in my area =D.

    ah I've heard of them, they do pretty good business actually especially with online sales, they would definitely get a higher discount tier from Diamond probably an additional 20-25% off retail for most stuff.

    I didn't get much. I got a few Transformers issues, Birds of Prey issues 10 and 11, the recent issue of Sonic the Hedgehog by Archie, and the free comics I got were the Green Lantern special addition and Sonic the Hedgehog.

    nice haul DH!!!  I was disappointed that I went out to my mall this evening at around 8pm to get a new phone and I was planning on stopping to get some free and cheap books if I had time after getting my phone but they closed before I could get there

    We had the sidewalk sale where they put out thousands of comics and you fill a short box for $25. I got tons of good stuff, including most of the Doom 2099 series.


    Too bad I'm not a fan of X-Force, X-Factor, Excalibur, Ultraverse or every Image title ever, because they had all of them out.

    @The Dark Huntress: Over 1,000,000 items! It's actually quite huge. 

    It was super packed and they had a bunch of characters in costume, like Spider-Man, Jedi, Storm Troopers, Thor, the Fantastic Four, a Tusken Raider and a real R2-D2! 

    I spent four hours going through the boxes, and that was only the stuff outside and I skipped a bunch when my eyes and fingers started to hurt. I rocked out in my CV shirt though.

    god I miss the olden days, back ten plus years ago I used to be able to go to SDCC and get a whole long box filled from this one guy for $20, every year I would get at least eight of the thousand or so long boxes he brought, I think he died or the store closed... stores with cheap comic bins went out of fashion here in southern california a long time ago, used to be able to find $0.50, $1 and occasionally $0.25 bins but not any more, now back issues are always marked up to at least $2 and occasionally have 5%-10% discounts. Most stores around me don't even have sales any more they just sell discount cards.

    That's awesome. 

    What did you think of Prelude to Schism #1? I thought it was a good issue, some nice character stuff, but not really anything new. Still, it's nice to get a re-cap and see what Charles thinks of current matters i.e. current Cyclops. Makes me wish Cyclops would side more with Charles......
