    What's The Point?

This comic was meant for free comic book day. Usually my dealer let's us pick 5 free , this year only 3 . I picked up this one solely on the fact of Thor and Cap having movies and my childhood still revolves around the original heroes I grew up with. OK I have my Thor Mego doll still lol.
The story starts out in a dungeon with Merlin a prisoner of Loki's. How or why that came to beI don't know. Loki wants Merlins belt for it's power. Flash forward to world war 2 and Cap and some soldiers are on a mission. Cap touches a cup Merlin put some magic into and disappears. Thor is in present day helping Jane Foster with Norse artifacts. This new Thor I'm not sure about or his story. Thor also finds the same cup and he vanishes and appears at the same time Cap does in the time of King Arthur.
So the deal is our dudes help the legendary King who is duped by Loki into thinking Loki is Merlin. Somehow Loki thinks Merlin's belt is the power and Loki believes the cup is a source too as in Holy Grail. Why would Loki want that that cup is the one Jesus used, why would the Norse god of mischief want that? In the self contained story our heroes defeat Loki of course and both return to the same places they disappeard from.
It was an ok story however it was just self contained and not a lot of explanations. The art is passable. I think the concept of FCBD is being not used. Why would a longtime fan want to pick this up or a new person OH WAIT because of the names.  I wished I would have picked something else upwhat's the point of this one Marvel?
