    Rise and Fall of S.H.A.D.E.

    THE GOOD:
I really think that art works for this series. The character emotions is quirky and I rather have this book not take itself too seriously. I really liked the background in this issues. It really made you see how big this base is and I really liked that part of the issue. The story is where I really liked this issue. I really like seeing the character fighting but fighting something they created. I really like how they are splitting up and taking out the threat every where they can. My favorite part of this issue was the Armory. It was so cool and I really hope that we get to see what all the weapons do someday. We also got to see Ray Palmer shrink! More on that later...

    THE BAD:
Ray Palmer shrank... but he said that wearing a costume wasn't his style. That really hit me hard. The Atom is one of my favorite characters. I like Ryan, but Ray was my favorite and to know that he isn't going to be the Atom is kinda heartbreaking and my first loss of the New 52. I also really don't like the art sometimes because it's hard to see what is going on.

    THE VERDICT: 4.5/5 (Amazing)
This was a great issue and I think that this series is great for everyone who is tired of way to serious comics. This is over the top and fun. That is more that some of the other comics can say. This series is great and the characters are fun and they all have their own quirks and I really like that. If you want something fun to read that has a good plot, this is the series for you.

There was a promotional image of just before The New 52's release showing what the JL will eventually be. Among various other characters, Atom was shown, wearing his cowl/mask thing and everything. Not sure if it's Ray, but...to be honest, everything is in place for Ray to go hero officially - we've seen his tech used a number of times in this title, though only now we've seen him use it on himself. Who knows what'll happen in the future?

      I HATE TECHNOLOGY. 0

Sigh. Look, it's better than the Green Lantern banner because I get the point of this one. It's not hyping a movie that didn't need extra hype, and its for a good cause. But it doesn't change the fact that the "We Can Be Heroes" banner is a huge detriment to the covers its on. At least the logo is done in the same color, and the rest of the cover is chock full of orange, so it compliments the blue well. And the way the lights around Frank's head are coming down out of the banner is kind of neat....
