OMAC Strikes Back
I haven't read OMAC #5 but from what I heard is that you won't need to read it in order to understand what is going on in this book. Does Jeff Lemire add Frankenstein's point of view while keeping new readers in mind?
THE GOOD:
The art does this type of series justice. It's very sketchy and requires you to look very hard at the book in order to get everything about it but I think that gives the story more scope. I really love the story in this book. I haven't read a single issue of OMAC and I feel that I got who the character was in this. I love the set up S.H.A.D.E. has and is definitely one of my favorite things about this book. I really think that this perfect how a crossover should happen. The story is amazing and I believe that this is the best issue of the series so far.
THE BAD:
I don;t mind that art as much as other people do, but there is this one page where it's so hard to figure what is going on here. I also think that if they got an artist with the sketchyness of Alberto Ponticelli but who's work was a little more defined we would have one of the best series of the New 52.
THE VERDICT: 4.5/5 (Amazing)
Frankenstein is a good book and I really enjoy reading the character and all of the action that follows. I think that Jeff Lemire has a direction of the book and I really hope that he continues to go with it because it's amazing. I don't think that this book is for everyone. If you want to try an issue of the series, this would be the one do to so. It's not part of a story arch and it just pure fun to read.
