Kindt ended his first arc with a narration overlaying the story, but it didn't work all that well. This time he tries it again, but to amazing effect. The narration actually works WITH the main narrative instead of taking its place. We actually get to feel Frankenstein's journey as he's simultaneously heralded as a legend. THE GOOD: Alberto Ponticelli is the perfect match for this book. The grittiness of the art makes everything about Frankenstein seem better. The monsters that he draws for the Rot are terrifying and detailed with claws, teeth and other sketchy looking body parts. Ponticelli also manages to add a sense of seclusion that does last issue more justice. Matt Kindt has don't amazing things with this book and this continues the string of fun issues.
