Frankenstein, Agent of S.H.A.D.E. #12
THE GOOD:
Alberto Ponticelli draws this book with a very different style then most books being put out. The over all details that he adds into the panels is also very stunning and it helps build all of the different worlds they visit. The action in this issue was also very over the top and Alberto Ponticelli captured it in a great way. The story is continuing Satan's Ring story line. Frankenstein comes off very cool with all things that he is doing, but to make him feel a little more human, Matt Kindt has created these flashbacks so we can see Frankenstein before he be came the monster. Near the end, the action is just huge and the suspense grows for all the characters. The amount of variety this issue has is another great thing.
THE BAD:
The recap format that they did in this issue, was very successful. However, the story might have been slightly better if they had just started with the story instead of having two characters figure out what happened.
THE VERDICT: 4/5 (Great)
Matt Kindt is making Frankenstein a very fun book to read. The worlds that you visit, the characters you meet, and the plots that he creates just is a lot of fun. If you want a book where you can just sit down and read adventures of different monsters, this is something that you should get. If you want a book where you can just enjoy every issue that you get, then this is going to be something for you as well. Highly recommended.
