This book is all action, which is a good thing for me because I was not a fan of pretty much everything else. It was a quick read, so I didn't struggle through it.
The Bad
Maybe it's because I'm a Frank Castle fan, especially around the time Ennis was writing the book, but I could not get behind the idea of this book. It made me cringe. I was hoping this would be a little more enjoyable than it was. I mean, it's about the Punisher as a Frankenstein-esque monster, and there wasn't an ounce of humor within the book. It takes itself a little too seriously for an idea a little too far out of left-field. The art and the colors are pretty muddy. Everything just blends into each other, which is not good for book that's primarily action.
The Verdict: 1/5
I know they're trying to spice this book up, but "Frankly" (haha) it's just not working. This is one of those few times where there isn't too much to say other than, pass on this book. There is little to nothing enjoyable about it, and it's all because the story is ridiculous, and in a bad way.
