'X-Men: Days of Future Past' Second Trailer and New Poster Released

Feels like it's been a little while since we've head anything new about X-Men: Days of Future Past. To make sure we don't forget, 20th Century Fox has released a new trailer.

As you can see, the movie stars Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Peter Dinklage, and a whole lot more.

A new movie poster has also been released via the official Twitter account.

The movie is due in theaters on May 23, 2014 and is based on the Days of Future Past storyline.

Looks awesome! The sentinels are looking great even if they're nothing like their comics looks.

Magneto is so badass tho. He's making the movie alone.

Great trailer, still cautiously optimistic though. Got really excited seeing they finally have Iceman actually doing Iceman things. I hope he and Colossus get some decent screen time.

Iceman riding his ice slide. Well it's about time. And I agree with the generic poster, but then again how can you compete with an iconic comic book cover that's the titles namesake.

That's a much better trailer than the last one, makes me more optimistic. Cheesy poster though. Looks more like fan art.

Not surprsiing that this is the more "action packed" trailer. Still prefer the more mood heavy trailer, despite the terrible cut in the middle o it.

Yeah. The more I see, the more I'm not excited. This looks like X3 where it's just a big spectacle that cashes in on some superhero names that fans love, but has no honest connection with the source material.

I really just want Marvel properties to be taken back by Marvel. The big studio versions of these franchises are garbage -- especially compared to what Marvel Studios has been doing with their own properties. I want a Marvel Studios version of the X-men, F4 and Spider-man.

@dark_vengeance_: There's A LOT of potential for creative posters given the fact we're working with two drastically different time periods. But instead they went with "famous faces... everyone get in there!" Oh well, at least the trailer rocked.

Wow im so glad Fox and Bryan Singer has decided to basically waste not only a great storyline, but great characters, and a great franchise. And how ironic that this poster fits the movie perfectly "Let's crap all these characters into this movie will no real regard to their rich history. Professor X look retarded just floating out there in the middle.

I love the poster and this Trailer, this maybe the X-men Movie the a lot of people been waiting for. There definitely going to be a lot of conflict in this.

@jonny_anonymous: Oh please snap judgement or not take a look at that poster and tell me that not what it is saying. Just because you can put characters like Blink, Warpath, Sunspot and more into a movie doesn't mean you are doing a good story. Just look at what they are doing to Quicksilver, a important character to the X-men franchise with a rich history tied to Magneto, and he is only there to replace a younger Juggernaut. Which was probably only change to stick it to Disney for wanting to put Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch in Avengers 2.

Well this isn't the first comic book movie to do so, and it certainly won't be the last

I think the movie's looking great, but that poster is awful. Who is the genius responsible for removing every piece of Prof's wheelchair that doesn't come into direct contact with his body and thinking that was somehow going to not look incredibly stupid? Seriously, he looks like he's strapped up to one of those amusement park rides where they just strap you in, lift you straight up, and drop you.

EDIT: In retrospect, somebody please photoshop him onto one of those rides and then this crappy poster will be worth it's existence.

What I was thinking, lol.

Criticism of the trailer would be: Sunspot looks just like the Human Torch and the Sentinels have a very similar full face-blast just like the Destroyer did in Thor. It looks alright though. I think it will be decent.
