So, we've all had time to digest how Apocalypse looks in the upcoming film. What do you think of his design? Do you think it works?
What do you think of Apocalypse's design?
Looks like trash
I'll live with it.
I always thought Apocalypse's design was rather ridiculous looking in the first place.
Sort of liked the X_Men Evolution take on him myself considering his back story and was hoping for something more like that.
It's been confirmed that Apocalypse's voice and appearance will be altered in post-production.
Apocalypse is a bombastic, eccentric character, and many aspects of his comic book costume/body would look terrible in a live-action movie. What they've done is a step in the right direction and consistent with the overall aesthetic of the Singer films.
@sprior93: Yea. We need to keep in mind that Apocalypse already has a kind of goofy design (Apocalypse is my favorite villain by the way). I mean the guy has grey/blue skin and giant purple lips, there was no way to bring that straight from the comics and it not looks awful.
It looks fine. A lot of super heroes and villains look different or silly in films or in production images when adapted to film. Deal with it people.
@koays: He's not purple. That's just lightning. He is blue on the Entertainment Magazine cover and in the trailer.
Ivan Ooze was a great villain in the power rangers movie and in glad he's getting work again after all these years
LOL

Anyway, I think it works. He looks like a good combination of the various versions of the character.
If we take Apoc's Egyptian Backstory into effect, his look actually makes sense. He looks like a Futuristic Pharaoh type character. It's also an amalgamation of his various looks.
Besides, he's getting CGI enhancements. I kinda hope they don't change his voice too much. I liked how Oscar Isaac sounded in the trailer.
