Super excited for the new Secret Wars

At this point I find it hard to get excited about any of these events. That said I am curious to see what all these solicits and everything else being released in teases are leading to

OMG. I think teen jean will be taking over Rachel's place as PHOENIX in the secret wars.

I honestly don't expect anything good about it therefore, not too excited about it.

Smh anyway, yea i don't have another event in me. I tried, but Axis is shaping up like it wont matter at all when it's over(big surprise -_-), and the next event will be some multiversal war or something instead of dealing with trust issues from the superheoes going evil.....which would be fine, except I've already signed up for DC's multiversal war and they have been much nicer about bombing me with events.

In Hickman I trust!

@koays: what is battle world? Also is black bolt alive again? I thought he was still dead.

Black Bolt turned out to not have died in War of Kings but was actually flung into the future a few months when he got sucked into the rift in space-time, and came back in Hickman's FF/Fantastic Four runs in like in 2011. Unless you mean how people were saying he was dead recently in that case they have been assuming he died fighting Thanos but is actually just in hiding with the Illuminati.

Battle World in the first secret wars was a planet made up of chunks of different planets so that the war would have an interesting terrain. The new battle world will be upping the ante because it will be made out of chunks of alternate earths.

Johnathan Hickman is a genius, and this event will be the best ever.

This event is going to be insane.

We don't know if the Beyonder is involved or not... but it kind of seems likely he will be to me. Doom and the Mad Tinkerer are really close to finding out who is causing the incursions.

Also we don't know if after Axis Doom will stay inverted good.

Another pointless event. Marvel tries too hard, but they cannot do better than DC.

Maybe. I think that is everyone's first thought, but that just seems a little too easy and straight forward for Hickman to be honest.

@avenger85: well they've been doing better then DC in terms of successful.....they just don't seem to be aware of it.

Though with similar events about to go head to head my money is on DC who seem to have been building toward their New Gods/Antimonitor/Earth 2 conflict for years, while Marvel just throws events together and doesn't really do much with them.

And seriously what is with this pole? 71% to 86%? Someone is trying to fluff the numbers but has bad math skills.

@darthphoenix: its not recycling since they're not retelling the stories just putting them against each other somehow.

They expect a huge business boom after the Avengers movie and now is the perfect time to give old fans and new a look back at Marvels history and potentially perform a reboot of sorts to the Marvel U. In order to create a new jump on point.

Its good business....just idk if I trust Marvels ability to execute it beyond 100 tie ins and one shots and the 15,what if books from afterwards.

Anyone hear the news of the Battleworld thing. Basically it seems that all the realities crash together to form a Battleworld and each reality is its own country

While I think part of secret wars is a good idea. Such as merging the universes etc... I think their execution will suck. I don't trust Marvel to actually do a good job with it.

I'm still going to buy this, even if it does suck, it will still be entertaining. Still, I have faith in Hickman, sure he has a lot of bad qualities as a writer, but this seems right up his alley. Plus it'll have 2 Reed Richards.

i love alternate realities and those alternate characters meeting up . like with convergence i cannot wait to see this play out . also old man logan
