I happen to love reading the trade paperbacks in addition to the new x-stuff. Ive caught up on the story lines which is huge considering I stopped reading comics in the 90's. I've been hearing a little about Xmen the End. I just wondered is it worth my time to check out the story

Yep, it's pretty good and even the large numbers of deaths and sad endings doesn't detract from the story. It's not on the level of a "God Loves, Man Kills" or "Age of Apocalypse" (first mini-series in the '90s, not that craptastic one), but it's entertaining.

Yeah, I really enjoyed it, however it had its sad endings, but it's a fun/interesting read.

@hawk2916: it is an interesting end to the X-Men. I preferred the X-Factor: The End though.

What?

Definitely. Just don't take anything in it as possible or probable canon.
