Thoughts on the new donna troy?

What are your first reactions to finding out she's a Rival?

Do you think she'll be something like her forgotten half sister? And if not, do you think she will be turned into an ally?

I am crossing my fingers that she is at least turned into an ally, with Wonder Girl being all angry & edgy ( even more than Supergirl was before she got over it thanks to the red lanterns arc ), while also having nothing to do with Diana, I feel like there needs to be at least 1 ally/sidekick who is around as strong as WW herself.

Oh right, I completely forgot about that :D

I'm happy from the standpoint that we at least get a coherent origin story and hopefully DC sticks to it because that really was her biggest flaw as a character pre-Flashpoint. I'm also fairly confident that she will eventually be an ally because she has no personal reason for animosity towards Diana, she's Wonder Woman's antagonist because she was created to be so.

I am a little concerned about how she's going to be written, while Meredith Finch's work on the last issue of WW was her best effort to date, it still wasn't anything to write home about. While in the long run she should be fine with good writers, there is a possibility that I'll be dreading her entire introductory arc.

So far, I'm liking how it's going. She'll probably become an ally eventually.

It's a long shot, but I hope her, Dick, Roy and Wally form a Titans team down the road.

I agree with this and all for the same hope.

If this had been written by someone I had faith in, then I would have been happy and interested in where they are going with her. The problem is that Finch is not a writer I have faith in, and right now I am just dreading that she and the editors are going to do the same crappy job they've done with all the old Titans and turn Donna in some twisted mirror of who she used to be.

@outside_85: Oh come now, the only titan they truly screwed over was Wally. Dick & Roy are doing alright.

Tho both Diana & Barry were screwed over when it comes to their Teen Titans decedents. And Barry was screwed over again with his old titan decedent. So let's hope Diana doesn't get screwed over there as well.

• Wally, massively deaged, and turned into a punk
• Bart, turned into a whacko freedom-fighter or terrorist
• Tim, robbed of any unique traits, turning him into a younger clone of Dick, who is now the smarter of the two
• Roy, a former drug addict thats now taking advice from Killer Croc... thats not 'all right' by any stretch
• Omen, psycho-goth with her eyes sewn shut
• Raven, daddy's girl
• Superboy, massive screw up, first a sociopath then replaced with a full on maniac
• Cassandra, no connection to Diana, and an aggressive grouch
• Solstice, supposed to have been a positive turn from a dark era of TT, now twisted into a smokebomb mindlessly in love with Bart
• Cyborg, now the League's clothes rack, 5 year hermit, no connection to any of his old friends
• Blue Beetle, crashed and burned, now utterly lost in space with no rescue boat in sight
• and so on...

Come to think of it, Dick is probably the only former Titan I'd say has avoided a downgrading.

Idk, Roy was always f'd up, even in the crisis days. Heck back then he was even worse. I actually liked him more now, and found the scene with Croc touching.

The teen titans are doomed beyond repair, but then again, what else can you expect from lobdel? The only good thing he did was creating Red hood & the Outlaws.

Also starfire is still, doing relatively well.

I haven't been reading though at this point all the Titans are screwed up. There is no hope for them anymore really. I am looking forward to hearing what happens with Donna and its nice that they have an origin they could stick with.

Though honestly they have free reigns since the Titans are doomed now anyway. Just make sure she is respectable and try to make somewhat like her former self.

Yet most people have not gotten past her introduction, which utterly destroyed her.

She's obviously gonna become a friend/ally within time. Most likely Diana will try to remind her that they are technically sisters in order to convince her to become good..

Her new origin.. well meh.

Honestly Bar Tor is not bart for me that name alone showed me this was inertia thinking he was bart. No way that was bart other than that yes you kinda summed it up.

Any way i'm liking the new donna so far at least they didn't deage her too much like with wally and maxima (like the new maxima but she shouldn't be supergirl's age). I do think she will be an antagonist for a while then become ally and as a plus she is legit lyta's daughter now since she was made from her clay.

I just hope the origin sticks this time...And let her speak! (Yes...i want her to say something)

I loooooove it! It's the BEST Donna Troy origin ever and I'm looking forward to the battle for the crown. It's also interesting that she arrives with a W on her chest already, similar to how Diana is always wearing a variation of her costume, as a child in flashbacks. It's as if they were both born for their roles.

@scorpio_cassadine: I think Finch looked through the Donna Troy forum on this site lol. I remember saying since Cassie is now the granddaughter of Zeus and Diana is his daughter, why not give Donna the formed from clay origin and poof..
