Can we have a Batman Superman Romance Book Please?

I am so fed up of WW being each member of the trinities on again, off again romance.

I don´t mind WW being part of a romance with Superman or Batman, but lets be fair then, why don´t we get some more books exploring the obvious sexual tension between Batman and Superman. Maybe even add Robin into the mix. Hell, then I wouldn´t even mind WW getting involved. But having ww as a typical love interest as I hear they are going to do in BM V SM diminishes her as a character in my opinion. The whole beauty of the trinity is they are equals with their own worlds, love interests, supporting cast and villains. New 52 has completely ruined that, now it looks like our first film incarnation of her is going to do the same to.

Well the ancient Greeks did believe love between men was stronger than that between man and woman and considering Wonder Woman is Greek she would even probably approve.

Really? From what I knew, wasn't one man always "the inferior" and was either a slave or a lower class youth, which didn't seem much like strong love to me.

I think it was supposed to be an older man and a "mentee" type of thing. Once both men were of a certain age it was frowned upon. Same with the Romans.

I heard it was pretty equal for the most part, that woman were seen as a means of reproduction rather than actual relations. But I could be wrong.

It's not exactly fair is fair because WW doesn't have to change her sexuality to do it. If they were gay or there were more females it would be the same.

Instead he makes up "sexual tension" to take a piss because he's yet again upset over WW for a mostly fabricated reason. It further fails if you consider the fact that there wouldn't be a problem if they did start dating other league members if they were more females or themselves gay.

It's natural to pair off group members and seeing as she is the only viable option for the preferences displayed to these characters she gets used more often.

@dernman: actually a straight man and a straight woman can be just great friends or colleagues so it isnt necessary at all for them to be in a relationship.

Nobody suggested otherwise nor is it restricted to only straight couples. It doesn't change the fact it's only natural for writers to want to pair together couples within a group or team.

It's a perfect answer. You made the implication that they will only place her with alphas of the team when the whole team are alphas. It negates your whole point of being a "reward". Second it still doesn't matter. even if they were not. It's a non issue. For the record though IIRC she's had something going on with Aquaman.

Everyone in the JL main 6 are alpha of their own families or universe. There is no point in denying or playing it off.

Hey I didn't like her hooking up with Batman and think this thing with Superman IMO has been a huge creative failure but at least come up with a valid criticism. There are so many.

well they arent pairing any of the other members of the JL together if its so natural. i mean wonder woman shouldnt be stuck in some love triangle or be subjected to being the romanced member if they aren't willing to do it with any other member of the team(which brings us back to the topic)

I have a problem with wonder woman datiung Batman in film more than anything. It sends a bad message when the premier female superhero in the world is used in her FIRST APPEARANCE in film as a love interest for the most popular superhero on Earth. You must be able to see that, plus it seems completely contrived. Wouldn´t it be nicer to treat the first and queen of female superhero´s as an equal to her male counterparts. I.e. give her a world, her own love interests, he own villains etc, rather than use her to make Batman look more cool. It´s pathetic.

I didn´t mind it in the justice league animated show; I even found their relationship kind of cute, but that is just an animated show. Plus she was not introduced as Batmans love interest, the relationship developed over time, once Diana had clearly been established as Superman and Batmans equal.

As for her relationship with Superman in the comics, the main problem with that isn´t that it´s a bad idea necessarily. It worked in Red Son, it worked in Kingdom Come. But those books were written creatively and it made sense in them that wonder woman and superman date. It followed logically from the story and it made sense.

In the current superman wonder woman pairing, it is the most unimaginative, simplistic and superficial thinking behind the decision. Basically they paired them because "they´re both powerful. they must like eachother." Is that what comics has come to? That´s why it´s annoying. Added to that the complete desolution of WW´s world in the New 52, ie changing her origin, getting rid of her villains, supporting cast, transforming her character and whole purpose in the DC universe, then making her date superman was the last straw. If they hadn´t have done all these radical things to the character, it may have been a lot easier for WW fans to digest, if it hadn´t come at a time when her whole mythos was being shaken up, for the worse in my opinion. But then again, having said that, since I don´t believe the woman in the current books being written is WW, I actually don´t care.

Still would like to see Bats; Wondy and Supes in a 3-way relationship. You can tell they want to.

It has already been confirmed several times in the New 52 that Superman cares about Batman more than Wonder Woman. Eventually the novelty of screwing Wonder Woman will wear off and he will move on to better things

And honestly, the fact that anyone sees the appeal in a Batman/Wonder Woman relationship when they have no chemistry at all is beyond me. Diana is maybe slightly better than Talia as a love interest. Catwoman and Zatanna's relationships with Batman are so much better in terms of both writing and genuine chemistry it's not even funny.

@saren: i think the it is okay for diana to date one of the lesser leaguers like flash in a movie, because it won´t distract from her character, but dating Batman does.

@saren: I was using Flash as an example. I didn´t mean they should be a couple. My point is, if they have to have Diana date anyone who is in the JL, I´d prefer it to me niether Superman or Batman, because it diminshes her, making her just another in a long line of Batman or Superman´s romances, as opposed to a character in her own right.

yeah Flash and wonder woman would be a pretty odd pair :)
