i mean they killed off peter, hes involved in more books than anyone, and he has two movies coming out. so what are your thoughts

Marvel has no say in those movies though, those are all being made by FOX.
@the_stegman: but peters not around atm
@bigtewell: But SPIDER-MAN is.
I doubt it. Marvel's really backed away from the X-Men in recent years - probably because promoting the X-Men is technically promoting the competition.
@wolverine08: Robert Downey Jr, to be exact.
Isn't wolverine supposed to be killed in a year or two? Why would marvel make a poster boy out of him if he's just going to die of soon unless there trying to milk out all the money they can out of him.
I don't think so since it would be weird to only have Wolverine as the face of Marvel when he's got so many ties with the X-Men. Also, I thought that Iron Man was taking that position?
no, I figured the new Mascot was Ironman, he is in quite a few titles as well and his movies are owned by Disney/Marvel studio

I really hope he doesn't die....
I think this is kind of reaching. Spider-Man is still their mascot and he's still doing just as much if not more than Wolverine even though he's "dead". I also don't really see how Iron Man is taking his spot either. He's doing less than Wolverine.
that's why they have him jobbing left and right. more than thor. maybe movie wise but in the comics no love at all. he is possibly drowned in the what if avx series.

Their mascot is Spider-Man, but they have been pushing Iron Man.
They haven't really been pushing him anymore than they would anyone else A-list. Cap,Thor,Wolverine,Spider-Man,etc. all get the same push.
@vance_astro: Ever since the first movie it seems to me like they've been really trying (and have succeeded) to make him an A-list. His popularity has grown tremendously at least, more than the other characters you listed.
I wish Marvel would try make Wolverine their mascot, but frankly, it's obvious they are pushing Iron Man.

He was A-list from the get-go. I don't think his popularity is "tremendously" above any of those characters I named.
@vance_astro: I said his popularity tremendously grew, not is tremendously larger. Spider-Man will always be far more popular.
