@smashbrawler: Hahahaha.
The Multiversity #1
@holyserpent: It's a personal preference. Writing wise, it's good, but I just don't like the "meta" approach it took and was too weird for me. Also, I found it kinda wordy with exposition.
I would love if the had Calvin,Donna, and Damian(from another earth) serve as the trinity for this adventure.
This was weird, crazy, confusing but interesting. Man, Johnathan Hickman and Grant Morrison always confuse the hell out of me.
I would give this 3 stars.
@entropy_aegis: I also loved how the Hulk expy was basically a big angry baby or how the Human Torch expy was black.
This is the best comic I've read in quite some time. Captain Carrot is amazing in so many hilarious ways. Really liking this version of Superman as well; he seems smarter than your usual Superman incarnation and he's slightly more serious.
The Major comics characters were an unexpected treat as well.

I like Morrison's stuff, but I find it reads better in trade (so that's what I'll wait for). Still, good to hear the first issue is great!
I tend to agree, but the one shot nature of each issue on this one convinced me to pick it up in floppies. That, and I was so excited for it I didn't want to wait a year to read it.
@jayc1324: The multiverse is in danger and it needs saving by the top heroes of the multiverse. to sum it up and not spoil anything.
@dagmar_merrill: so does this include new 52 earth? And are any new 52 guys a part of it?
@jayc1324: We saw earths 7, 8, and 23. I didn't notice any new 52 characters yet
@dagmar_merrill: OK thanks. And new 52 earth is earth 0 right?
@jayc1324: I believe so.
@dagmar_merrill: I heard multiversity is a sequel to final crisis and does not take place in the new 52 multiverse.
Well, I have the comic book but I haven't read it yet, but so far so good with this one, one thing that I like is that it wasn't promoted, drawn all out of proportion it came into play slow easy, and I read some reviews that I liked also I like the characters...

Somewhat, reading Final crisis helped me know who some characters were but I wouldn't say it is necessary reading.
There's a chance that Vibe can pop up right? I think he's trapped in The Multiverse due to his vibration powers. Others think so too!
I'm guessing he's going to show up in Flash's book around the time that his show premiers, but he could connect to this, in a video DC released about this they mentioned Vibe's connection to all of this.
"Who else wants to argue with cartoon physics?" Loved this book so much!! Oddly reminded me of the first crisis,which i also loved so that worked out. Plus i was surprised to see Harbinger,eager to learn her place in this story. Captain Carrot was a beast! Oh, i made a punny :D
He's so cool!!
@jayc1324: Multiverse in danger heroes read comic books (that are other worlds) to stop it and make a super justice league.
@madeinbangladesh: what part didn't you understand?
@brione: I'm sure this will tie in.

Pretty much everything was confusing, but I liked it.
I lovd this issue,I especially love when they arrive on earth 8 and the similarities with a certain universe we all know to well!(hint hint wink wink) but this issue was fantastic!,so many new and familiar faces seen,I was all over it!,I reccommend it for those intrigued by grant morrisons work!!
I'm not Morrison fan, but when the man is on her is stellar. I loved this issue, it's one of the very few times where I see the 4.99 price tag on the comic after reading it and honestly feel like I got my money's worth. I think one of the biggest problems with Morrison is that his stories rarely have all the pieces of a traditional narrative, which when reading a traditional superhero book or event tying into the continuity of a hundred other books really fails to connect. This project however is perfect, because it is allowed to be as weird as it wants to be.
I picked this up for the concept and because of President Superman, but I must say Captain Carrot was really the one who stole the show. It's a good time to be a fan of creature characters right now! The whole team here seems to be a pretty solid group of analogues from comic history, especially Dino-Cop.
@obsidian_raindrop1: Falcon and Spider-Man/Spider-Woman I believe.
@madeinbangladesh: super judge reads comics, talking chimp convinces him to go on an adventure, they find a beat up guy, save beat up guy at the cost of there freedom, super obama gets teleported to a multiverseal justice league, justice league learns that comics and drams are really glimpses into other worlds. justice league travel in a ship that matches the vibrations of other inverses to move, justice league vs fake avengers, fake Dr. Doom hatches an egg with the corrupted versions of super judge and chimp.
So is Final Crisis necessary reading for this? I was a bit lost on a few things (mainly who Nix Uotan is/his role) but I think I got most of it

Thanks for the explanation.

No, it's in the New 52 so I'm sure they're expecting plenty of new blood to pick this up.
What the heck man. First hulk gets beat up by sun god(superman) and now hulk analogue big blue baby gets wrecked by captain carot :(
Thats not fair.
@karazor-el: marvel analogue characters getting there asses kick in a dc book. how unlike dc.

this was amazing ...marvel does some great books but nobody does alternate universes like DC ...capt.Carrot was amazing ! Earth 8 and the retaliators were amazing , the artwork was amazing . Definatly the best book I read this month this already puts Forever Evil to shame with one issue ..Waited a long time for this but this exceeded my expectations. President Superman was Awesome ! cant wait for the next installment.
I liked this a lot but to be honest I do have one big problem with this. Morrison said that he had spent time making sure that each world could hold it's own book. Not only are Earth 7 and 8 very similar, but they are also based on a premise that could never be published by DC.
Why could'nt they be published by DC ,....did'nt marvel put out supreme power and squadron supreme? and DC put out Lord Havok and the Extremists a few years ago with a bunch of marvel anolouges .
Just read it...didn't like it, a little too "out there" for me.
Thank you. Was feeling like the only one who didn't like it.
How many issues will this have? I know the main Multiversity title has 8 issues, but what about any other tie-ins like Pax Americana? That makes it 9, but are there any more?
I'm split between single issues or the trade. Except that DC puts out their trades 6-8 months after the last issue, whereas I'm spoiled with Marvel only waiting 3 months/almost immediately to put out the trade collection.
@entropy_aegis: You have obsessed with Geoffry.
Just read it...didn't like it, a little too "out there" for me.
What do you mean?
@chocolatefrogs: The Multiversity will not have tie ins. The pax americana, Thunderworld etc is on The Multiversity. Don't worry multiversity don't spin off to other books
@entropy_aegis: earth-8 It's marvel comics.
