IMO I would have to go with Adam Kubert.
Alex Ross
Gary Frank. It looks like a splitting image of Christopher Reeve

Alex Ross hands down
Gary Frank has a nostalgic Superman, but I don't think it's his most iconic look. 20 years from now we'll probably have a few artist drawing a Henry Cavil look-a-like Superman, but the majority will still look something like that Alex Ross version.....albeit a little younger.
I not even sure what “iconic looking” exactly means for Superman. Is that costume, curl, smile, cape, their combination or something else?..
Overall I choose Alex Ross’s version. He created quintessence image of Superman through more than 70 years of his history.
To be honest, when it comes to "Iconic" I think few artists fit the bill.
Mostly because for something to be iconic I feel it has to be timeless and those three are all fairly recent artists that I am not sure If they will stand the test of time.
I guess Curt Swan is the safe answer(for a good reason)
Alex Ross
John Byrne. His Superman is a god damn joy to look at. One of the few artists who can make me like the undies.
