So, I think things are becoming clear now.
It was okay. Ended too short. AC 41 is still the best of the bunch, if you want a comparison.
Yes it was ok,the characterization was good, the story was nice and intriguing...the art a little less sadly. The only real complaint i have is about this damn new solar flare, Superman could stop that robot in a dozen of ways: he could use his artic breath,he could stomp the ground causing a little earthquacke or he could simply use his heat vision that is more than powerful enough to easily dispatch such a threat but NO,now he just uses his solar flare in order to be depowered for the sake of the plot. I really hope that he loses this new power once he gains his full power back.
Eh what to say bout this one. Story not so bad, art horrific and yeah@toptom: the solar flare getting annoying now, and a have to agree with@squalleon: AC 41 was my favorite of the bunch.
I'm with you guys. I think they should just forget about this new useless power. Art was bad as is always the case with Romita. I think I'm done with Superman until they're done with the truth storyline and based on interviews it's going to be a while.

1 year. DC is giving all their writers one year to make drastic changes and do whatever they (to an extent) want to tell stories. I applaud DC for it and I'm enjoying the concept of Truth. I honestly hope Superman's identity being revealed stays even after the year is over.
@saintwildcard: My problem is with his powers and not about his identity being revealed. Romita's art is part of the deal breaker.

If it were up to me I'd have him get his powers back after the end of this arc but continue on with the secret identity being revealed thing. But I feel the whole low powers thing came second to Superman's identity being revealed. I think the writers felt that a full powered Superman would deal way to easily with this situation.
This was a good issue. Romita has really improved his work. 1 thing to note here, if anyone has already made opinions about how this version of non secret identity depowered Superman is not true to his core and characterization is way off or how Romita's art is awful or writers and DC don't know what they're doing, pls don't bother buying any of the issues. This is something Johns would never have tried in his run and i applaud Pak/Yang for trying this.
Also so far AC and Superman were the only issues that were really good and since this isn't a conventional crossover i might drop the other 2 if they don't get better soon.
@deathfalcon182: Trying new things don't make it good and yes I won't be buying this.

Agreed. That being said, if it is good it is a shame if you miss it.
Up to now even the best of "Truth" were just okay. So you don't miss anything.
Should I start reading this event, or just skip it?
Like Doomed it will probably collected as a whole in the end so skip it and if it is good as a whole then get it in trade.
Up to now it is hit or miss. The main titles are nice (not good or great) but they have the common problems of crossovers. And the companion titles up to now are awful.
@squalleon: Thank you.
@mossuperman: It hasn't been poor if not excellent. After 40 or so forgettable to just above mediocre issues of Superman this one i liked, probably more than others and Action Comics was good too. Point is so far nothing has come out that'll blow our mind but if you bought 40 forgettable to above mediocre issues of Superman or like Paktion Comics, you would enjoy both these issues. But if you don't want to read about truth than really don't bother, i am interested in truth so I'll buy Paktion and Superman.
Agree with some on the complaints here. Supes definitely overuses the Solar Flare thing. He knows it has negative effects but he still does it, even when he could overcome his opponent in many other ways.
It was ok, didn't feel like it was worth the 2.49
Wait, 2.49? It costs 3.99 $.
I'm from the UK, I buy them on comixology

I imagined as much. But I hoped it had a discount :P

google converter says £2.49 = $3.91 so technically I get it cheaper than you :)

Yeah this event killed it lol I picked up the first issue of Action and Superman and neither really held my attention. I wasn't even that interested in the event anyways, so it's whatever now lol

Great :D If you need a Superman fix, JLA has a Superman centric story :)
