Do you guys want the Old Superman Theme to return?

I want the old Superman to return. I really did enjoy the MOS theme though. Why not keep both? OR MIX EM TOGETHER!

Not especially. I’ll always remember it, sometimes I listen to it, but it belongs to Reeve’s Superman (and Routh’s to lesser extent) IMO. Prefer that this theme will unique for him and, to tell the truth, I can’t really imagine William’s piece of art to fit into modern superhero movies.

It worked for Superman Returns but I think Man of Steel is a much different movie and has a different tone, and should thus not use it

Plus, I absolutely LOVED the Man of Steel theme and Soundtrack in general. I even put the entire thing on my iPod lol

Yes it should, for me it is as central to any Superman movie as the Star Wars them tune. Both have been with me most of my life....I may actually have it played at my funeral tbh!! (along with the Hulk TV series music and WW TV music, both are brilliantly kitsch and the Hulk music really rather poignant!)....off I go again, reminiscing about the 70s!!

Yes (is John Williams Goddamit!) but No, this is a new Superman, he needs to be distinctively made separate from the previous incarnations. However has there been any good superhero themes lately (apart from Zimmer's Dark Knight themes), seriously what is Iron man, Thor, Captain America's "themes" ? I miss when Blockbusters had memorable scores.

So should they play the original Superman March from the radio show, Fleischer cartoons, and George Reeves Adventures of Superman and the 90's Superman: The Animated Series theme songs too? No. Each interpretation of any character gets its own music.

ever since i watched the tráiler for the very first time, i felt there was something missing, this theme is so iconic , it almost imposible to think about superman without thinking 'bout this song. The new theme is boring and plain, nothing epic about it!
