Asura's Wrath exists. And it is good. There is NO excuse for not having a good Superman game. Look at the intro of Asura's Wrath with him in space flying. Now imagine it being a Superman game, with him punching meteorites whilst shooting down Apokolytian fleets with his heat vision. Grunt enemies could be robots and parademons, with big hitters like Zod, Bizarro, Metallo, Cyborg Superman, Brainiac, Parasite, Doomsday, and Darkseid being in the place of the generals. Just imagine this beautiful cinematic quick time event beat-em-up Superman game, which seems a lot like that cancelled Superman game. Seriously, no excuse.

Asura's Wraith shows that a game with a huge scale like a good Superman game would have is possible.

However gameplay wise I don't think the play style of Asura's Wraith would work for a Superman game, at least not the Superman game most fans seem to want.

@decoy_elite: maybe a bit more fighting in it, whilst being in a big city. Mix it with a little Hulk: Ultimate Destruction

@jointron33: I'm thinking more of a powers focused combat system rather. Let the player fly around in combat, freeze people before combos, finish them off with heat vision, etc.

Asura's wrath was more interactive movie than video game.

Just imagine if the composer of Asura's Wrath incorporated various Superman music, like renditions of the Shirley Walker, Hans Zimmer, and Johns Williams themes!!!!

And if Capcom was involved you know Asura, Akuma, and Ryu would show up somehow!

Agreed.

People seem to forget that, for all of the visuals and epic stuff that went on in Asura's Wrath...it was essentially their to try and cover the ass hanging in the wind that was the lacking and OK gameplay it had aside from the monkey see button, monkey push button sequences.
