Warner Bros "Static Shock" Live-Action Project

While I would like to be excited for this I'm not hyped because DC Comics has already proven that he does not deserve my faith in it when it comes to my favorite character.

I'll wait and see. If its good, I'll celebrate like a crazy person.

@blackwind: I'm excited anyway. I hope the acting and effects are decent. When I first saw the news I immediately thought they might be testing the waters for something bigger. I can't wait.I just read that producer is going to be working with one of the Milestone alumni so I'm thinking they should do a pretty good job as far as characterization.

With that said let the speculation begin.

@statfan201 I looked for a good actor that should play Static and my best option to play him would be Leon Thomas III. He's mostly known for his acting on the Nickelodeon show, Victorious.

@prynce23: I'd prefer Maestro Harrell, who was on The Wire. Eka Darville would be my second choice.

@captain13: If it was based on the comics I would think about casting Tyrell Jackson Williams as Virgil and Trevor Jackson as Larry Wade.

@statfan201: I heard rumors that Jaden Smith might play him. Wouldn't surprise me since his folks have been heavily involved in DC right now.

@black_claw: That would be a nightmare.

@blackwind: Care to explain why? And please don't say "After Earth" because quite frankly, Will Smiths acting in that movie was also terrible and plus it was directed by M. Night Shamalyn so it was pretty much destined for failure.

@black_claw: A lot of people say they wouldn't watch movies if he was in them, because they feel he only gets roles because of who his parents are. I personally think he's a decent actor. I've seen worse actors and actresses that continue get work just because of their looks. cough (Channing Tatum) cough.

@statfan201: Agreed. If Jaden does get the role of Static, I'm sure he can pull it off. Heck he was always my first choice to play Static even before After Earth screwed up his reputation.

@black_claw: I'm also willing to give Jaden a chance.Sure I would prefer someone new getting the role but I wouldn't mind muchmuch if he got it.

Plus I actually enjoyed his performance in Karate Kid.

Has for the show itself I hope they build more on the villans like Ebon or Talon.As well as introduce other milestone characters.

Eh, I liked the show as a kid, but it isn't a character I can see working in live action.

@black_claw: I just couldn't believe him as Static. With him being my favorite character, my standards would be ridiculously high

@blackwind: Then try Leon Thomas III he's young enough, and he has similarity to the character in appearance and voice .

@blackwind: I started a new forum due to the recent info I found about Milestone.

@prynce23: He's alright. Not amazing, but pretty good.

Remember Static is supposed to only be fifteen, so I don't think you'd be able to go too old on actors.
