New 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Character Posters Surface

We thought we had seen the last official movie poster for Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens but it turns out there's more--sort of. New character posters have started popping up over Twitter featuring members of the cast. To no real surprise, there's still nothing for Luke Skywalker.

It's interesting that everyone has their right eye covered. Here's what's been released so far.

Even more interesting is Princess leia's get up. She certainly doesn't look like someone in hiding or on the run. Looks more like a woman in charge of a corporation or something. Has there been much revealed on her role?

Also, whats up with Kylos Lightsaber? Looks like it is unstable or something. Wonder if that will have anything to do with the plot or, if its just because evil people must have evil looking weaponry.

If Rey doesn't end up with a light saber staff I will be sad

@sachmoo: I'm not entirely certain, but last I heard, it was design to look like a makeshift lightsaber, so it looks staticky to sorta emphasis that it isn't a complete lightsaber.

It would've been more awesome if you wore an Chewbacca mask. So it would seem as if he part of the character poster.

Maybe they are impliying than the dark side is necessary for the balance of the force.

i still hope the movie starts out like the simpsons version where a time warp wiped out the last 3 movies. it took a lot of serious drinking to get the jar jar out.

Traditonally Force users who don't really have a side (Dark or Light Side) , but are followers of a cult/order usually get unique lightsabers that are ancient , especially the colors , like the Jedi Temple guards have yellow lightsabers b/c they follow an order to protect the library not dark or light side , Kylo might have been from an ancient order , and he is using ancient lightsaber , or forbidden

@sachmoo: According to reports the writers wanted Ren's lightsaber to be a reflection of him, so it's supposed to ragged and dangerous.

Possible Spoiler Alert. There is already a Luke Skywalker poster. You just can't see him in the light anymore.
